With time and training, a Scoria may learn to shape-shift into a humanoid form, called a gijinka. A Scoria's gijinka reflects the traits of the Scoria's original form closely enough to be recognizable as the same individual -- same colors, same distribution of rare traits, analogous body type. All gijinkas have horns; Scoria's forge-marks appear on gijinkas as a stripe running along the spine from horns to tailbone.
Gijinkas may display a basic human limb structure (2 arms, 2 legs) even if the Scoria does not possess those particular limbs, but to add limbs beyond the basic human structure, the Scoria must have the appropriate traits (e.g., a Scoria with no limb traits may have 2 arms and 2 legs in their gijinka form, but cannot have wings or tentacles in their gijinka form).
For a Scoria to unlock its gijinka form costs 50 kindling.
