Please follow these rules and guidelines when interacting with Hearth : Home.
1. Please be polite and considerate towards fellow players and admins.
- Harassment and bullying will not be tolerated.
2. Hearth : Home is an inclusive community. Bigotry will not be tolerated.
- That includes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, biphobia, ableism, etc.
3. This is a SFW, PG-13 group.
- Please do not post sexual content in any area of the group. While we can't stop you from making sexual content of Scoria, they canonically lack sexual organs, and if you manage to get around that, we don't want to see it. You may not claim tinder and kindling on such content.
- Please do not post heavy gore in any area of the group. If you wish to claim tinder and kindling for a piece that involves heavy gore, please contact an admin privately.
- Other mature topics such as lighter gore, suicide, self-harm, abuse, etc. are permitted but should be placed behind appropriate content warnings.
4. Please keep conversations in group forums light and relatively on-topic. Do not spam.
- Sensitive topics such as politics, religion, etc. should be avoided or taken to private messaging.
- Off-topic conversations can be fun, but they should be kept to appropriate channels -- please avoid dominating any chat with off-topic content.
- Keep comments on HUB journals and official forms succinct and on-topic. (For example, all comments on the Forge should be trait purchases; questions about the Forge itself should be directed elsewhere -- to the FAQ, the main group page, or the Discord server.)
5. Please respect the artwork and creations of other players.
- Do not critique or criticize another player's work without their permission.
- Do not use another player's character in your own art or writing without their permission.
6. Respect the canon concepts and lore offered by Heath : Home.
- While canon is open to reasonable interpretation, designs and artwork that directly contradict canon lore will be rejected. (Examples: making up a settlement within the Hearth where your Scoria lives is fine. Saying that the Kindler spoke to your Scoria, when the Kindler canonically never speaks, is not OK.)
- That said, Hearth : Home's world-building is collaborative, and if you want to suggest a new element or interpretation, feel free! Please wait for approval before going ahead with any major changes, however.
7. Tinder and kindling may not be transferred between users or Scoria.
- Each Scoria can only make purchases with its own store of kindling.
1. Scoria may only be created through the group, either as adoptables or through the earning of make-your-own (MYO) slots.
- You may not base Scoria on existing characters or media.
2. All transfers of Scoria ownership must be registered with admins.
- When a Scoria changes owners, the Scoria's store of kindling goes with it.
3. Scoria designs may NOT be sold.
- However, if you have earned a MYO slot, you may commission an artist to design the Scoria for you. Neither you nor the artist may then sell that design, however.
4. Scoria may be traded or gifted, including to people who are not yet members of Hearth : Home. However, new owners are required to register with Hearth : Home.
- Scoria may be traded for other Scoria, other characters, or art.
5. Please be sure to maintain credit to both Hearth : Home for the species design in general and to the designer of your individual Scoria.
6. You may not use Scoria designs for commercial purposes (e.g. merchandise, appearing in for-profit media, etc.)
7. You may commission art of Scoria / take commissions of Scoria.
- Scoria-based your-character-here (YCH) art is permitted and may be sold as an individual piece. However, the same Scoria YCH cannot be sold more than once.
- You may create Scoria bases for yourself and others to use, but may not sell them. (While individuals may receive tinder for creating a base, artwork using the base is not eligible to earn tinder or kindling.)
